JCCI Singapore Foundation Limited (Foundation) was incorporated on 22 May 1990 as a company Limited by guarantee and not having a share capital. It was registered as a Charity under Charities Act, Chapter 37 since 29 April 1991. It is an approved institution of a public character (IPC) and its IPC status was renewed with the validity until 31 Aug 2027.
Vision
To be a positive influence in fostering lasting bonds between Singapore and Japan through meaningful contributions to arts, culture, sports, and education, while inspiring future generations of bilateral exchange.
Objective & Mission
As Singapore and Japan commemorate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026, to continue supporting initiatives that promote arts, culture, sports, and education, enriching the Singaporean community and strengthening long-term ties between both nations.

We provide sponsorships to local organisations whose activities are related to the development of arts, culture, sports and education in Singapore. Scholarship


Since 1995, the JCCI Singapore Foundation has been supporting Singaporean students in their pursuit of education in Japan through its scholarship programme.
To date (as of June 2025), more than 54 students have been awarded with our scholarships. Over the years, we have worked with institutions such as Waseda University, Musashino Art University, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), and International Christian University (ICU).
Currently, the scholarships are offered for one-year general study programmes at Waseda University and ICU.
Our annual scholarship recruitment exercise typically takes place between June and September.
